Viking Refrigeration Repair in Arlington
Put a professional-style Viking door in an Arlington rear kitchen and it has to open into the only walkway in the room. Nothing about that is wrong, but it does mean the door and its seal do more work here than the same appliance would do in a larger house — and they wear accordingly.
Flat $95 service call — the trip and the diagnosis — credited against the repair if you approve one. 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days.
Gaskets in a narrow room
A magnetic gasket seals by being pulled flat against the cabinet face along its whole length. In a tight kitchen the door gets opened at an angle, closed with a shoulder, and occasionally caught on something in the walkway, and the gasket takes a set at the corners. The test is unglamorous and conclusive: a strip of paper closed in the door should drag when pulled out, at every point around the frame. Where it slides free, that is where the warm air is entering.
What a leaking seal actually does
Warm, humid room air entering continuously does not simply warm the compartment. It arrives at the coldest surface it can find and freezes there, so the evaporator ices, airflow falls, and the compartment gets warmer still while the unit runs constantly. Replacing a gasket at that point is cheap; leaving it becomes a defrost problem and then a compressor that has been running twenty hours a day for a year.
Arlington access
Short driveways on the hillside streets and kitchens reached through the house mean the same planning as the rest of the town: everything possible is done with the unit in place. The main Arlington pages are linked below.

Defrost water was running out onto the kitchen floor of a two-family we own. The drain tube had frozen at the outlet. Heater loop refitted, and our tenant said he was tidy and explained it all twice.

Fan noise through the night was keeping us awake in the bedroom above. A bearing had dried out and the shroud was loose. Motor replaced and the mount padded, and it is genuinely inaudible now.

A sheet of ice kept forming across the floor of our under-counter freezer. The drain had silted up with fluff. He flushed it, fitted a new drain clip, and told me how often to pull the vent panel.
