Wolf Appliances: What Fails, and Where This Shop Fits
Wolf and Sub-Zero are the same company and very often the same kitchen, so it is worth knowing how the cooking side behaves even if the cold side is what you called about. Wolf faults concentrate in three places: ignition, the oven control, and the convection system.

Ignition, and the clicking that will not stop
Sealed burners on a Wolf rangetop are lit by a spark electrode beside each one. When a burner clicks continuously without lighting, or when every burner clicks because one is wet, the usual causes are a burner cap sitting slightly off its seat, a fouled or cracked electrode, or moisture in the well after a spill or a clean. A cap that is out of position is the single most common of the three, and reseating it costs nothing.
Oven control and temperature drift
A dual-fuel Wolf runs an electric oven under electronic control with a temperature sensor in the cavity. Drift — an oven that runs consistently high or low — points at the sensor or its calibration far more often than at the element. Failure to hold at all, or a cavity that never reaches temperature, points at the element or the relay driving it. The two are distinguished by measurement rather than by baking.
Convection and the noise it makes
A convection fan that has developed a bearing noise or a blade fouling its shroud is audible and, left alone, will eventually stop moving air, which shows up as uneven browning before it shows up as a fault. It is a mechanical repair and a straightforward one for whoever handles your cooking equipment.
