Sub-Zero Repair in Woburn
Woburn is the neighbouring town, so a call here is a short one. What varies enormously is the kitchen: a Victorian near the square, a 1960s split a mile away, and a townhouse finished in the last decade are three different installation problems wearing the same appliance.

Townhouse kitchens and the shared wall
The newer clusters put the kitchen against a party wall with the utility chase running behind it. That is a tidy way to build and it leaves the refrigeration with very little room to breathe: the surround is tight, the toe-kick is often carpeted right up to the grille, and there is no gap at either side. When a unit in one of these houses starts running long, the first reading worth taking is the temperature of the air coming off the condenser, not the temperature inside the box.
Older houses, newer appliances
Renovations near the square regularly drop a full-height integrated unit into a room that previously held a freestanding one. The cabinet opening ends up correct to the millimetre and the electrical supply ends up whatever was already there. A built-in that shares a circuit with a countertop appliance can brown out its own control board on a summer afternoon, and that reads as an intermittent fault rather than an electrical one until somebody checks it.
